NatSKA Round 5 - March 2024 - Camberley

Camberley, despite being a small circuit with a tiny pits area that gets overcrowded and fraught with frustration, is a regular on the NatSKA rounds - and here we are again!

As is often the case at this time in the season, the weather was not playing ball and we had

a busy day swapping from one set up and tyres to another as the track was either fully wet or just damp throughout each heat.

After a DNF when the sparkplugs fouled up following a bizarre starting procedure that meant engines were running at idle for much longer than usual, our randomly allocated grid positions meant that we had to through backmarkers and inexperienced novice drivers in powerful karts for the first time on a greasy and wet track surface for another two heats. With only one good result to notch up for the day, we weren't in contention for any great outcome!

Not a particularly enjoyable Round for our first one back after the winter break!

On to GYG in North Wales for another challenge!

I'm going past - on the inside line! Bye!
